i just picked up this book i wanna know if anyone has read it .... any opinions etc would be appreciated

I've read it. I think it's a good introduction to NL hold'em. If you're already familiar with NL and have read HoH 1&2 and Little Green Book there is little you will gain in my opinion.

The book has received a lot of flames on this board, but I think it's a fine book for beginners at contemporary no-limit cash games. Admittedly, there's not much exciting here for experienced big-bet players. My full review:

It's by Fox and Harker (I knew I should have had my name listed first).

The book is aimed at players new to NL. There is nothing earth-shattering in the book. It's a basic, conservative/aggressive approach to the game.

And, in contrast to a certain review we had on amazon, we di indeed address stack sizes and the role they play in decision making.

However, I do agree with one respondant who suggested getting reviews and opinions before purchasing.
