I usually fold this, but sometimes call if I feel like gambling /images/graemlins/smile.gif

What kind of a flop are we hoping for here?

I think these hands have very marginal +EV. But only if they're played very well post flop. When you are playing many tables (and often doing other stuff as well), you have to manage your mental resources. Spending a lot mental energy trying to squeeze a gnat's hair of EV out of these types of hands seems like a bad idea to me. But if you're only playing 1 table I would definitely call here.

What are you implying, that you just don't play SCs ever?

Calling is decent.

You really don't play 87s on the button ever? Not even in a cash game or a multi?

This isn't a cash game or multi, it's a SNG.
Fold then yawn. Even if I feel like gambling I pick a more interesting spot than this.

In cash games and multis, yes. The last thing I want to do early in a SNG is draw. If the hand had some high value (JTs, QJs, KQs) I would probably call.
Just out of curiosity, what about hands like KT, or AT or QT, suited or non suited. Same with JT QJ KQ off suite.

I never call any of them except for MAYBE KQo (but I usually fold). Not that this is the right way to play, but its how I play.
how long do you play this way for. What if the kind of hands you would call never come, and even if they do you miss.
I am not being critizing, i am just wondering because I only call premium hands, but sometimes i go poor late in game.

KQ is the only one of those I normally play.

I think if there are 4 limpers here instead of 2, 87s becomes much more playable.

If you never see AA, KK, AK or a set to win you chips in the first three levels, then you still have enough chips to compete and start building in level 4........unless you are calling every JT, QJ & KQ that you come across.
Edited to say this is the case in most of the SNGs that I play. Honestly, I would rather my premium hands came later in the game.

I'll call A-Ts with limpers in the first two levels. Ill play 87s with 4 limpers in the co or later. Neither of these hands can stand a raise
