You know how you have to add "+" and "-re:" each time so you don't get a gazillion results?
Why not have the software treat search queries as if these two things were already typed in, unless the user chooses to override this?

PS: This may have been suggested in the past, possibly multiple times. I tried searching "search function" but all I got were posts where people berated other people for not using it. So berate if you must; I still think it's a good idea.
