Should I have bet out on the flop? My plan was to CR, but I didnt know what to do when it was two bets back to meon this very scary flop.

CO had TAG stats after only 20 hands(20/10/infinity AF)
HJ was unknown

Poker Room 3/6

3 folds, MP1 calls, 1 fold, HJ calls, CO raises, 1 fold, SB calls, I call in the BB with A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, MP1 calls, HJ calls

Flop(9.5sb) 8 /images/graemlins/club.gif9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif7 /images/graemlins/spade.gif (5 players)

With two bets back to me on a coordinated board, I'd fold here.

For what it's worth, I'd probably have fired out with TPTK on the flop to see what happens. But I spew sometimes.

paulie,

seems like an easy fold to me. Even if you have the best hand now, there are lots and lots of cards that can beat you, so your equity isn't all that high. You aren't getting your odds for your 5-outer, and several of your outs are likely tainted. I like the CR attempt on the flop - if you bet out then all sorts of draws can call, and if CO raises it just ties everyone to a big pot. I think that part of what makes the check-raise worth it is that it might happen just like this, and then you can safely fold, whereas otherwise you'd be forced to call one more in a dubious spot.

This is an easy fold. You probably have the best hand but there are very few cards that won't completely cripple your hand. Fold and move on to the next hand.

Agreed. Easy fold.

This is an easy fold. Reverse implied odds coupled with the chance you don't have the best hand at the moment dictates this.

I'm not sure about donking this flop though with TPTK? Is it really worthwhile at all if we're expecting to get raised behind from raiser or TAG?
