Recommendations for Blog site?

I am looking to start a blog, and was looking for those with experience on this to recommend a good site to start with. My requirements:

1) Ability to use my own domain (ie not xxx.blogger.com, but instead www.blahblah.com (http://www.blahblah.com))
2) Update from anywhere with internet access(I figure they all do this)
3) Customizable layout/arragement (so I can have some stuff stay on the sidebar, and some other area be latest updates, etc). Also probably standard.

Blogger's still the way to go. You don't have to use a blogger domain.

I currently run a blog-formatted compendium of articles on blogger. I also run a political blog on my own site using WordPress.

Blogger is awesome because...it's free. You can also use your own domain name with forwarding, though you will find that some of your linkbacks, etc. are done to your blogspot address. I have google searches show my blogspot domain and sometimes my main non-blogspot domain.

WordPress is wayyyy more awesome IMHO for usability, etc. You need your own webhosting service (I use hostgator's "BABY" plan for multiple site domains under one account), so this is more expensive for sure.

Both will allow you to post via e-mail or internet login from anywhere.

Both are customizable, but non-blogger is probably moreso.
