Value-bet the end here? Take the free showdown because Villian will only call with the low or a better high hand?

A more general question: do you play big pairs any differently in a tournament situation than a ring game?

Bet the river.Your hand is suspect since you raised on 3rd in a steal position. He should call you with a wide range of high hands worse than yours.
If he raises, call & hope he has a low &/or a worse high than yours.

Looks good. Definitely raise 3rd here with only a 7 and the BI left. Betting the whole way is good...I'm not worried about his fives and you've got a better two pair anyway (I put him squarely on a low draw). Definitely bet the river--pretty doubtful you'll get raised (and if you do, very unlikely you'll get scooped).

Well, if you get raised, the chance that you will get scooped is not that unlikely. But it's surely not likely enough not to call.

But yes, the river is a clear value bet. He will definitely call with a worse two pair.
