so wagering 450,000$ would mean that your ev is -$2,250. the prize package claims to be worth $5800 so right now playing blackjack is +ev. 10 days left im sure 21st place will be surprassed but it would have to reach over a million to be -ev.

This is only true if their valuation of the prize package matches yours and this is unlikely. I definitely would not pay $2k to miss work to be trapped on a boat with the kind of people who would be winning a blackjack wagering contest.
