I got absolutely FLAMED for this play by one of the players not involved in the hand. My thought was that AJ was ahead of the range of the all-in pusher and I did not want to let the BB in cheaply. True, if the BB woke up with a hand, then I was going home. I just didn't want the BB to get odds to call with any two. I felt a minraise may be seen as weak and would have also left me with an awkward chip count, especially if the BB decides to play the hand. Am I making a poor play here?

I would absolutely push here unless this was a final table and knocking him out moves us all up in prize money. But with your stack, I'd probably push even if it were a final table.
