5K buy in. Seems like you have to be in the top 20ish to make your initial buy in back. Granted it is based on 300 players, but how many are actually going to play?

1st $ 1,000,000
2nd 25.00% $ 113,750
3rd 14.00% $ 63,700

5th 6.50% $ 29,575
6th 5.40% $ 24,570
7th 4.40% $ 20,020
8th 3.40% $ 15,470
9th 2.40% $ 10,920

Let's just say a preflop suckout or coinflop loss will hurt really bad heads up.

Here's the scanerio. I won a seat through party and was prety excited till I saw the payout structure. Since I only play 2/4 online right now, 5k is still a decent chunk of change. I conteplated going down to the bahamas and selling my buy in when I got there.

Can I even do that since party is sponsoring it?

Should I just take out the tampon and play?

Definately play, you are very likely looking at a scenario where the seat isnt transferable.

I played 3 to get in. Sub quaifier, qulifier, and sattelite.

Whatever, I invested a whole 6$ into this so I should just be happy that I am getting a freeroll to a 1 mil tourney and a week in the bahamas for almost nothing.

This structure is awesome.

I'm guessing PP (should this stand for PoopyPoker, PissyPoker, PansyPoker...?) is doing this because like you most people paid somewhere between $6 and $300 to get there, and this way they can advertise a million dollar payout and a whole bunch of players get to be excited at winning a few bucks.

If you can sell your entry (which I doubt) you could probably take the money, invest it all into high buyin online tourneys, and make quite a bit more money. For the buyin alone you could play 20 or so $500k guaranteeds.

P.S. If they want to have a $1 mil guaranteed first prize, let 'em take it out of the unbelievable amounts of rake they're making from this thing.
