Dark, dark, heist-based comedy set in Wichita, KS, during a storm of icy rain. Starts a little slow, but quickly turns into the best movie John Cusack's done in a looooong time. Billy Bob Thornton turns in his standard excellent performance, Oliver Platt plays drunk better than anyone I've ever seen, and I can never have enough Randy Quaid. Further, Connie Nielsen is hot. Competently directed by Harold Ramis. I don't think they've marketed this movie very well at all, and I think the title's similarity to "The Ice Storm" leaves moviegoers unfairly biased against it.

I really liked this one, and believe that history will be kind to it. On a final note, I saw it at the 21+ show last night at the Arclight, which means booze is served at the theater and can be taken into the movie. Can't beat that.
