At this point Hero has t640, BB has t1615, pot is t375.

BB got his chips by pushing over Ax w/ AK a few hands earlier. Not sure if this matters, but earlier in the game, BB took a small pot off of Hero with a checkraise on a rag flop after calling a PFR.

What is hero's move here and why?

If he is the least bit tricky, raise. If he is not, fold.

I can't really tell enough from your read on him.

This is a pretty tough spot becasue BB could be leading as a cheap bluff at the pot, or be semi slowpaying trip kings. I would lean tword pushing here, if you think he can lay down pairs like 88. I just think trip kings check raise more than lead at the 22's.

I don't think you'll find too many players at the 22's folding 88 to a raise on this board. Does anyone think you can raise anything other than all-in in this situation? A raise to 150, for example? Obviously it leaves you with a real short stack, but is villain going to come back over a small raise if, as we might suspect, you have him beat? He certainly isn't going to call a push with any weaker hands, and, like I said earlier, I think most 22 players call with everything that beats you in this situation, except maybe AQ. If he does come back over the top of a small raise are you going to be priced into calling with just AJ high or can you fold and leave yourself with such a short stack?

It's not THAT bad of a spot to fold, jeez.

Call flop and push the turn to rep the king. I think most thinking players will fold without one if you take this line. Or you could minraise the flop and push the turn, folding to a 3-bet allin on the flop, as a lot of low-stakes SnGers will play trip ks this way and it will be hard for him to call without a king. Moreover, if he is trapping with a weak lead, I think he'll often push over your minraise on the flop. Or you could fold, but that's so damn boring.

100-150 looks good. That should tell you everything you need to know about where you're at and will get some smaller pairs to fold, with limited risk to the rest of your stack.

Calling would be too weak, I couldn't fold to his t50, and I didn't want to push into AK/AQ/Kx/PP. I raised him to what I would have cbet anyway. If he went over the top, I'd fold. As it is, he calls. What do you think BB has? What is Hero's play on the turn?

This has made me chage my my vote to a fold. You could push the turn, but I dont think villain will fold a pocket pair with the big stack and the pot odds he is getting.

But anyways you have to push the turn now that you raised the flop. If you check the turn you are giving him the pot.
