Villain is 60/3. Nothing tricky.

Preflop sometimes I raise it up, sometimes see a flop.
I whiffed the flop cr.

Call and kick yourself for letting KQ outdraw you.

I'm not re-raising there. You played the hand fine though.

Why do you not lead the flop ?

scdavis0

cuz you can expect MP to bet the flop a huge percentage of the time and possibly trap the button in the middle with a call or even raise

Cause preflop raiser plays passive post flop, but will call down with marginal hands. Thought I could get some dead money from loose guy, maybe get preflop raisers stack if he had an ace.

but your hand become transparent when you check-raise.

Why post a blind UTG?

scdavis0

maybe because "observant" players will assume you are a fish if you do it?

that $6 post on the first hand could be worth a whole lot more until they figure out you are strong

Played fine. Call river and expect to win more than 50% of the time.

Surprised no one is tempted to raise this.

Everybody wanted to push this one (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=4136900&an=0&page=2#Post 4136900)

I almost timed out thinking about whether to push or not.

I dont think a raise is entirely out of the question. From the action I think he could safely have AA, TT, 44, 33, AJ, or KQ. Only 2 out of those 6 hands beat you. So you're behind 2 hands out of 6 total hands that he probably has here. You're likely ahead. The tricky part is that he only minraised the river. If you think it's a "PLEASE CALL ME I HAVE THE NUTS" raise just call, if you think it's a "I have close to the nuts but not quite" raise, then push.

I did, he had the nuts. Thought I might have been results oriented though, apparently not.

Lead flop, slowplaying is for newbs. Call river, raising doesnt get called by much that you beat.

The action in these two hands is very, very different.

Bet and hope to 3-bet the flop! Do people really think checking or check/raising this flop is the standard play versus a loose passive player?
