Completing is fine here, I know that much. Bet the flop? Once I check, should I be shoving the flop when it gets back to me?

If I just call, I've got 670 in my stack. A pot sized bet is more than half my stack, so if I'm betting, I'm shoving, from a very elementary sense, right? (I'm still on a very elementary level here) My gut says to push here.

I'm interested in an answer, but I'm more interested in a why. I take the pot down, or get called by a J or a Q a whole lot more often then I run into another two pair or 66, right?

edit: Titles are nice!

I always lead the flop when I have bottom two and a big field of opponents.

When you check and see that action, I would jam on the flop.

With you having 2 pair, it is less likely someone else has a set or another 2 pr. On the flop I would bet right out because #1 I want everyone to fold. #2 I dont want anyone with a Q or a str8 draw to hit it for free. I can see a check raise if you knew someone in LP would bet it. But I would check raise all in to maximize my fold equity. Your hand is strong but not that strong.

It was never a question of whether I misplayed it - just how badly I misplayed it /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I think I wanted to look at bottom two as some sort of monster - lemme check and get all their monies!!!111one. Heh. More reading! Thanks.

I lead this flop. I also push over the raise/re-raise.

Push the turn, bottom 2 pair is really corruptable.

Sucks if you let some dude with QJ suck out on you.

With this many players I actually don't terribly mind the check (because I rate the chances of it getting checked around as quite low)...however, betting out is certainly the safer play.

However, if I check this flop, it's with the absolute intention of shoving when it gets back around to me. Bottom 2 and you want all the money in on the flop -- whatever way you can make that happen is the best way to play it.
