Reading about this guy has made me more sympathetic to the death penalty. I cant wait for him to die.

Something to discuss? A link to the story? Or just an opinion shot out into the endless cyber space?

Is he the Crips guy on Death Row that Snoop's trying to save?

He is the founder of the bloods who killed four people, and we arent talking other gang members. He had one 7-11 employee lay down on his back and he shot him. Then in another robbery he murdered some asian immigrants and their child.

He refueses to give up information about The Crips Gang, because he says his character is too strong to snitch.

However he has written children books that preach against gangs and violence, and he has supposibly negotiated a peace treaty between the crips and bloods last year or something - which doesnt make much sense, how can he negotiate a peace treaty unless he controls the gang? I think his peace treaty is the equivialnt of posting an article on his website.

Two of his children are also convicted for murder.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tookie

Although, he does deny all murder charges. And has been nominated for a noble peace prize - basically anyone can be nominated. A guy in Sweedish parliment nomiated him after seeing the Jamie Foxx movie. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/9e/Tookie.jpg

I'm staunchly anti-death penalty, but Tookie Williams isn't the guy to be holding up as your poster boy.

There is no death penalty in Thailand.

Thailand has the death penalty...unless they changed it very recently.

I also have strong opinions about issues I am totally clueless about.

I <3 Jihad, I'd pull the trigger for this douche in a heartbeat, or at least send a neighbor to beat up his kids in the park.

12-10-2005, 01:22 PM
actually he is the founder of the crips and maintains his innocence to this day. the reason he has not given up information about the crips and their communication is because they have not offered him a deal that spares his life. your ignorance is astounding.

How the [censored] can you maintain your innocence, and be founder fo the crips? If it aint murder its another thing.

12-10-2005, 01:25 PM
guess what, being the founder of the crips is not a crime. let's try to work within the rules of our justice system here.

Something tells me that his kid might be able to hang. Oh yeah, that's right, they're convicted killers too.

Sorry if my post wasn't clear---

I meant your kids.

And I wasn't serious about the love.

12-10-2005, 01:29 PM
Yes, I do. I am also aware that the RICO act does not apply here, hence the reason he has not been prosecuted under it.

Oh beat up my kids? LOL. And kill me? Nice. I should take notes about the Jihad split over the revenge post. I never remember who said what. At least I know where you stand /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

[/ QUOTE ] i too am against the death penalty, but i don't think this mans life should be spared barring evidence which suggests his innocence. let me clarify that, i don't think he deserves clemency anymore then your average death row inmate. the death penalty is wrong, but marching this guy out as the posterchild for the movement is about as pragmatic as the democratic party sending white dreadlocked lesbians to hicksville florida in an attempt to win over voters days before the presidential election.

12-10-2005, 01:40 PM
I am not against the death penalty, however I think in his current state Tookie is a more positive than negative influence in the world and thus don't feel he should be killed. Sure, he should pay for his actions, and he is. He will never be free again. Does he deserve to die? My opinion is that society gains nothing by killing him, but gains his youth mentoring and perhaps his authoring of children's books (if they are any good, i don't know) by letting him live. You know, he does a lot of work to keep kids out of gangs now and has the street cred to make people believe.

I agree with everything you said. Except I hate the death penalty.

Oh yeah and I saw something about this on CNN and it was the biggest load or crap I have ever seen on TV. Two women were complaining about how he was able to watch TV and workout in jail. Then they show a photo of him with arrows to his arms and say something about it is pretty clear what he has been doing. So very weird.

Trying to interject levity into a thread that already exists in politics, where KKF could have easily posted his "opinions."

Plus, however your revenge worked out, and while grown people shouldn't pound on twelve year olds, I have a hard time believing you didn't deserve it. Everytime in my life I've been hit, even when I went on to "win," I have a hard time maintaining I didn't deserve it, and if your real life persona matches your internet persona, thats probably true for you to.

i think the death penalty is all [censored] up and racist in this country, but the people arguing for him should pick someone else. the whole tactic saying "governor schwarzenegger, his life is in your hands" or "the governor decides whether he lives or dies" is so stupid and such a mischaracterization i cant take the people who say it seriously. same thing as the people who want to kill the guy and hold pictures up of the dude he killed and they say "do it for jimmy" or some stupid [censored] like that. the justice system is not based on revenge.

how am i wrong? that pdf proves nothing against what i said. Kane listen, you're an adorable little puppy and all, but the fact is you don't know [censored] and all you have are your opinions you formulate to stir up controversy. I want you to go through my posts and pick out EXACTLY what I said that was wrong and show me otherwise. I said he wouldn't snitch because they didn't offer him a deal.

Williams was convicted for the murders of Albert Owens, Tsai-Shai Yang, Yen-I Yang, and Yee Chen Lin, which took place in 1979 during two separate robberies. According to the conviction, during the robberies Williams shot Owens twice in the back and shot the Yang family up close with a shotgun, at point-blank range.

Nice guy.

There has been a thread about this in the Politics forum (where you troll) for a couple of days. No need for another one here.

I posted a police report where he said he wouldnt snitch because it goes against his convictions.

why dont you show me where he says he will snitch if they cut him a deal.

PS: IF HE REALLY CARES ABOUT THE CAUSE, WHY DOESNT HE GIVE UP HIS INFO AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE REGARDLESS OF IT IS SAVES HIM???

well..even if he did kill 4 people...how many others did he kill and didnt get caught...

Over the years..how many murders, rapes, robberies, ect were there because of this pandoras box...Clemency is a tricky subject...If a scientist was on death row and was close to coming up with a cure to AIDs or Cancer he is worth saving?

All i have to say is if you play at the so cal casinos in the ghetto areas HP, CP, Normandie, ect...I would take a break the day if something goes down...I smell another rodney king riot again.

12-10-2005, 05:35 PM
The # of lives he's f***ed by starting the crips is greater than the # of lives he can/will change from prison. And lets not forget the lives he directly took. Two of them died so he could have money for a taxi. They gave him everything and he killed them anyway. Just 'cause he's good at PR and has some famous friends is no reason to let him live. Let him die.
