I'll be in Vegas, and I'm really excited. After recovering from Pnemonia my wife declared that I had been so helpful and good with the kids that I deserved a weekend away.

I said are you sure, she said yes and I booked this trip.

Leaving from NYC on 12/15 at 5 PM, I'm staying at the New Frontier.

I think no Poker on the first night (I get into Vegas at 10 or 11 (I forget) my plan is to check in and kick it at Gilleys with the bikini bull riding and alot of beer.

After that I want to play a decent amount of poker(3/6, 4/8 limit) see some of the sights, have good dinners on Friday and Saturday (sushi one night steakhouse the other) and generally have a very good time.

I've thought about seeing one of the topless shows on the strip but it seems like a waste of my precious time as I'm leaving Sunday AM.

Anyone here ever stay at The Frontier?
I was in Vegas for 2 nights in 1998 seeing Phish and that was before my poker days.

Any ideas, suggestions thoughts to enhance my experience are most welcome. Or just share my excitement!

Is the 3/6 at the Stardust worth spending some time at?

I stayed at the frontier last time I was in Vegas in the regular rooms. They have the reg rooms and then they have the suites, the reg room was OK, but the suites looked pretty nice. Everything is pretty dead at the frontier, no one is at the pool, not many folks in the casino, the food is OK (but expensive for what you get, $9 for a burger, fries, and soda), so you probably won't wanna spend much time there. However its right across from the Wynn... the best 4/8$ room in vegas! I might go there next week on Fri too, contingent on my bro letting me sleep on his couch and primm valley letting me redeem that free room for monday night.

I had actually never heard of The New Frontier before I booked this trip. It worked out as the cheapest on-strip hotel for me at $50 per night.

I'm thinking of having my steakhouse dinner there. Any other suggestions.

$50/night is a damn good price, we had to pay $135 on short notice to stay one night....if youre looking for a good steak i reccommend Craftsteak at MGM, its pricey, but the kobe steak is some of the best ive ever had
