1) i don't like... you will be called, and will be hoping for a coinflip... if there wasn't a limper or raiser in front of you, an all-in would be good.

2) yes, i would call this.

Why no on the first one?
I have less than 3bb left, and a pocket pair seems like a good gamble to double up. There's still 5 left too???

Isn't a coinflip a good thing in this situation?
I have 3bb. Crapshoot time.

No you don't. You have almost 6BB. And avoiding a coinflip is preferable. You still have some fold equity if you're the first to push. This guy isn't going to fold and you're either way way behind or flippin the coin.

See, that's the problem. We don't want to gamble. Biggie is getting about 3:1 on a probable 50/50. Wait 'til you can be first in. Or have a premium.

because it would be nice to shoot for better than 50/50 at best. Blinds are big, people can bust, you arent even in the blinds. Now if youare BB and have 1/3 of your stack in thats a different story, but thats not the case.

12-09-2005, 12:44 AM
Yeah, your right, 6 bb it is. I see your point now.
I was looking at this
"200/400 Tourney Texas Hold'em Game Table (NL)"
I was mistaking the 400 for the bb.
What does the 200/400 mean?

1) No
2)Yes

1st you wont want a coin flip and you have over 4X the BB after you fold. You dont want a coin flip. Coin Flips are Bad for everyone.

that is if it were limit, 200 would be the bet PF and flop 400 turn and river

Ahh, ok.

And I get that this is bad now. Live and learn. Thanks for the help.
Shooby.
