View Full Version : Are 2001's HD?
I have an ATI-All in wonder with one DVI, and a Cable Input. If I plug in my cable, and use the monitor connected digitally, will the major networks be in High Def?
Thanks

is your ATI HD?
if so, then yes, I belive you'll be able to display HD. note that it will be letterboxed, b/c the monitor is not widescreen

Yes.
But you need an HDTV tuner card to view high def. I have the ATI HDTV wonder
Ati HDTVwonder (http://www.ati.com/products/hdtvwonder/)
But beware, It only works for over the air broadcast signals, NOT hd signals from your cable or sattelite provider. It has inputs for both a digital signal and analog. Since my building the cable is non-hd it works for me, broadcast in HD and cable in analog.
Also, product has gotten mixed reviews and can be a hassle. For example I can only view hdtv on my primary monitor, but analog can be viewed on either.
Detailed review from Tom's Hardware (http://www.tomshardware.com/2004/09/17/ati_brings_hdtv_to_the_pc/)
Goes without saying though that the High Def picture quality is amazing on the Dells.
Hope this helps.
