I was wondering how many people would have folded this.

It's the 2nd hand of Level 4 (50/100). It pays top 5 if that makes a difference. KAs in Big Blind. You've got 875 chips left if you fold to the 300 raise.

When I first saw the AKs and then my 875 I was waiting to raise with it anyway and when the 300 raise came I had little choice but to push.

Is it an automatic?

Sure, on level 1 and 2 and maybe in some bubble situations. But not with <9 bbs to a single raiser.

But not with a stack so short and a raise from the big stack who probably opens with a range that AKs is a solid favorite over. 5 spots pay, but there are 8 players left and you are near the bottom. It's highly unlikely you'll be able to get into the money without an all in confrontation. You're being offered a +EV one now. Take it.
