Raise preflop. The rest honestly looks perfect to me.

very borderline calls preflop and on flop IMO... seems like they just kept feeding you barely enough to stay in...

flop your looking at 9.5 to 1, for your gutshot/bd flush/ and the possibility of one of your overcards being good (very slim)

i would've tried to get away preflop most of all, and dumped it on flop with all that action as well...

once you got as far as the turn it seems fine to me, even though you're clearly beaten, 16 to 1 is worth a call w/ your rivered top pair

ewwwww, this is a very very easy call preflop and like Entity and PJN say is usually a raise.

Go find the preflop thread (second page probably) were I quoted a Nate Tha' Great post about people in SS playing too tight.

i see your point... didn't pay enough attention to the order of the action preflop... thought it came to him for 3

Do you really find the flop call standard? You are getting 10 to 1 odds on BD straight, BD flush, and overcards that i doubt are worth much, with a possible 3-bet coming down the line from SB?

I think 1 out to the non-nut flush, 1.5 outs to the striaght, and 1 to the overcards? Implied odds are good if you hit, but I think this is offset by the chance of SB-raising and also of having to put in multiple bets on the turn if one of your backdoor draws improves. I think it's a bit thin overall.

Maybe i'm weak-tight, but i fold here.

Flop's not that marginal either. Gutshot (with nut redraws) + 2 suspect overcards + backdoor flush draw getting over 9-1.

Is anyone tempted to 3bet the flop?

EDIT: I am.

Looked at the hand again today, I dunno how I missed it was a gutshot straight draw.

Easy call.
