You will note that ever since this post about 6 weeks ago (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=3793646&page=0&view=colla psed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1&vc=1) I have been on a winning streak again.

I'm not proud of all of those - two of the last 4 were bubbles, not cashes, (including one in a 180 player SNG where with 19 to go I committed with A5 UTG and 5 BB's left and ran into 10/10

but it's obvious all the good advice and work is starting to pay off slowly...I'm feeling confident in my game again and confident I can make further progress....

BTW, those 3 or 4 day gaps in Nov. - that's when I was at work - no playing those days /images/graemlins/grin.gif - not a lot anyways...

so yah, sometimes the stuff does work...my spreadsheet crashed and I haven't learned how to use Exit's yet, but I'm pretty sure my SNG stats are good now too - a few first places during this time frame.

I think my biggest lesson so far has been that at the end of the day, the game is a lot of 50/50 draws or 60/40 draws, and that by being the first one to bet I can almost ALWAYS turn that into a 70/30 stat. or better. In fact, in most cases, I can't think of a single instance where betting would REDUCE my chances of winning the hand. I may lose more money when I lose, but I can feel now where making it a 75/25 draw is better (the change being when the person folds cause they missed or scared) - I'm finding I like small pots without showdowns better then monster pots where I'm a 60/40 fav.

I'm playing my small pairs better and picking off overcards easily with all-in bets post flop - these guys will play AK all in preflop but post flop are a little less inclined to keep chasing if they missed /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now my biggest issue is I seem to be overaggressive when flopping big hands - I still wanna bet so as to not seem out of place and to keep flush draws away, and I'm not getting a lot of postflop action - but that all the picking off the spare bets seems to give me enough chips to last till the big hands come in.

still a ways to go, but nice to have some instant measurable gratification - that also applies to the BR which is 50% greater then when I started and only 100 FPP from getting another 20% tagged onto it -

now if they'd just move the damn $1-5 tourneys back to 10 percent payouts....yeesh.

great job bro. Its always good to see old hands turn their games around. All too often players run hot, cool off and disapear. Well deserved kudos.
