I am working on a computer build. I will be using the computer to run 2 monitors, PT, and 8 table(possibly running 2 or 3 sites at a time?), a few internet browsers, and a couple messengers at a time. I do store media and listen to music but am not that conserned with it or performance of it. I know AMD64 is a little cheaper in general.

Dollar for dollar what processor would be best for me? my Price range is flexible if it is worth it, yet I am looking for best value more than best processor.

Ahtlon 64 series processor would fit your needs. Prices range from ~140-300$ depending on your budget, any of them will be fine for a poker computer

An opteron 165 is the best chip you can get for its price. It also is dual-core, which really helps with multi-threading (importing into PT, viewing websites, playing 8 tables at once..), as it is essentially a dual processor system.

It is around $300-350 though, but its the cheapest dual core they make.
