I'm absolutely brand new to NL Hold'em. After struggling with limit for over 40k hands (and pretty much breaking even), I got tired of constantly getting sucked out by people who had absolutely no odds to draw.
So..my first hand post at $50 NL.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)
UTG+1 ($43.15)
MP1 ($92.98)
Hero ($45.70)
MP3 ($46.60)
CO ($20.91)
Button ($48.50)
SB ($54.43)
BB ($50)
UTG ($48.50)
Preflop: Hero is MP2 with J/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/heart.gif. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls $0.50, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to $1</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $2.5</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, CO calls $2.50, Button calls $2.50, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls $1.50.
Flop: ($11.25) 8/images/graemlins/club.gif, 9/images/graemlins/club.gif, 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
MP1 checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $5</font>, CO calls $5, Button folds, MP1 folds.
Turn: ($21.25) 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">CO bets $5</font>, Hero calls $5.
River: ($31.25) 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, CO calls $8.41 (All-In), Hero calls $8.41.
Final Pot: $48.07
Is this standard?
My biggest problem so far in adjusting is knowing how much to bet and raise. Any suggestions where I can find this out? Or where I can find some kind of chart on what hands people generally play preflop?
Thanks.
