CO in this hand is a crazy maniac. he is a gigantic fish. 57ATTSB and postflop he gets crazy sometimes. i cannot fold. im thinking about checkcalling down after the turn hits though.

BT in this hand is an unknown. almost certainly a fish but he might be isolating the maniac. probably unlikely though.

limper is also unknown

i know i should have capped preflop but lets talk about postflop since its too late to go back

15/30 5 handed

Hero has 99 in the SB

MP limps, CO raises, BT 3bets, Hero calls, BB folds, MP calls, CO calls.

Flop is Q83 with 2 of my suit

I bet, MP calls, CO raises, BT folds, I 3bet, MP folds, CO calls.

Turn is an offsuit undercard

I bet, CO raises, I call

River is a blank

I check planning to call

You know better than me, but was he enough of a maniac to pull off a river check raise?

I like check raising the flop. It would be awesome if maniac bet, CO did his standard protection raise, and you were able to 3-bet from the SB.

Everything else looks fine.

If he is enough of a maniac, then I like the turn bet. You will get raised a lot with ace high and worse.

I like the flop bet as well. Getting button to fold AK, AJ, AT or KJ (maybe even JJ or TT) would be very nice.

I really like the flop bet and think its much better than a c/r. You put pressure on the limper cuz he knows its about to get raised, and it also forces button to make a decision once the maniac raises (which you know he will), and it gives you way more info about his hand, and has the potential to force out hands you dont want calling, then if you just check and the maniac bets and the BT raises, or checked ot the button who bets, and then stays to see the turn once you c/r.

Anywya, rest of hand is fine. If hes TOTAL maniac, like raises any 2 cards to the river, then I like the turn bet, let him fire one more time and then call down (or decide its worth putting more in), if hes just really realyl aggro, then I just like checking and calling down, let him bet it for you.

I have two missions in this hand: 1) Get it heads up; 2) Get to showdown.

Judicious betting accomplished #1, now checking the turn will accomplish #2.
