I have a camcorder so I will need a firewire outlet.

I want to six table on Party.

I want to store alot of movies on the computer.

I want it to be exceptionally fast.

I would perfer as large a screen as possible.

If you find a laptop you like and it doesn't have integrated firewire you can get a Firewire PC card ,almost all laptops have pc card slots.

I bought an IBM T43p. While it's more expensive than the Dell, the components are infinitely better and it won't break nearly as easily as the Dell Inspiron line. You should be able to save a few hundred on that price listed, though.

Good lord, if you are going to spend that on an IBM - you might as well get a Sager. You can speck a Sager 5270 for the same or less and it will kill that model.

The screen resolution is very important on a laptop, but I think how slim and how much a laptop weighs is a key factor. Anything over 6lbs is too heavy. Just make sure it comes with one highly covered warranty.
