Big thanks in advance to those who give advice on this one. You're all really helpin me improve.

NL $100 full-ring. New at the table, so very few reads. MP raises to $4, button calls, I call from the SB with 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif 9/images/graemlins/club.gif . Big blind calls. Effective stacks $100.

Flop 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif T /images/graemlins/diamond.gif J /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

Pot = $16. I'm first to act. What's my move?

For learning's sake, I want to present a few subtly-different scenarios, just to help distinguish between them.

2) I'm last to act, and it checks around to me. Move?

3) Same as 2), but the flop comes out all diamonds.

4) Same as 2), but there's a pot-sized bet from pre-flop raiser, and folds to me.

Let's start here and work our way through the other streets.

What I would do.

Bet
Bet
Bet
Raise (but you can make a case for just calling and then betting a non scare card)

In the OP hand, I lead for $12, hope for a raise, so I can push.

In the scenarios, (2) and (3) I bet pot.
In (4) I raise him up. If he set over setted me, that's poker. Make it about $45 and hope to get the rest in on a turn blank.

For first scenario I bet the pot.
second is dangerous but there will be value here alot of the time, so again push 1xpot, occasionally a slight overbet (would kill for a read here tho).
Third I raise every time, and wait for a card, it will get all trash out.

OOPS there were four!
Second senario one to still bet 1xpot, make every other numbered scenario +1
