View Full Version : KK facing 3 suited board on turn

Villain was new to the table so I had no reads whatsoever. When he called my flop raised I feared he might have made a set or just a loose caller drawing to the flush. My question is, was betting the turn the right move? Or should I have just checked behind? And what should I do if he had just called and the river was a blank for me?

betting the turn was def the right move.

if he called the turn and checked the river i would most likely check behind.

You only pushed 1/2 the pot with a premium holding, if villain had something stronger than TP he is likely to pay you, the 1/4th of the time you hit the flush draw makes this nice. You are relatively insensitive to redraws, but perhaps not so much so that you should give free cards every time. That question seems to be the essence of this post.

Sorry for the trash post, trying to sort this things out.

I think if you check behind here you pretty much have lost this hand, and if he has the flush, you still have outs if he calls, and if he doesnt, you win. Not betting here leaves you in the dark.
