View Full Version : $22 Big Stack UTG

Been going through same hand histories looking for spots like this, where I feel I may have been too weak late game as big or at least top 2 stack size. But I am still a bit unsure about this one mainly because of position and I wasn't feeling desperate.

False sense of security and wasted opportunity or pick a better spot?

If you were to play this what would your raise amount be?

folding is acceptable. i am a bit loosey goosey though in many spots, and would raise like 450 or 500, calling pushes from everyone but the tall stack. cuz well, if you lose you're still doing great.

i'm more prone to do this another blind level up, but i'm also more in tune with chips at the 1000 chip games. so at the 800 chip game this is probably the standard play.

Ax, where x might equal 7,8, maybe 9 - folding with 10-13or so bb's, 6handed is fine.

Here, you have enough chips to make a standard 2.5-3x raise - folding to a push from a substantial stack.

Ah, but what about the shortie blinds?

If you raised it to t375, I think you still get away from a SB push. With shorter yet BB behind, I think it's reasonable to put him on a range making folding proper, despite getting....better than 3:1? Meh, close.

BB of course we'd call.

That having been said, open folding this is fine too IMO. Much would have to depend on the table dynamics to this point.
