What program do you use to view media on your computer?
The reason is because I can't open AVI files on my laptop. What do I need to download to be able to do this?
I currently use winamp, is there anything better?
I need an AVI player asap. (I would download soooo much more porn)

Go to www.divx.com (http://www.divx.com) and download some codecs.

EDIT: Crap post, didn't read the whole OP.
For media, get VLC media player, plays EVERY format, i've never encountered a video it failed to open.
VLC Video Player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)
Downloading updated divx codecs will usually take care of avi files not playing. I use iTunes and Windows Media Player.

media player classic is a freeware clone of windows media 6.4 (the old, simple version). has more 'hidden' features, like keyboard shortcuts.

Ditto.
Winamp for music, MPC for video is really the best route to go.

Yeah, it's pretty similar to VLC player actually. I prefer MPC, but VLC handles stuff like .VOB files.

I use MPC classic for all streaming video / small vid files. I generally watch full movies or episodes in VLC though. Winamp 5 for music.
The winamp5 free strems are hours and hours of free entertainmnet
Winamp 2.6
