Its been a month and three days since Ive been doubled up....in that span, I have doubled up 10 ppl, 8 of which were on out draws. Now im back to 25NL and I cant win, which is embrassing to say. I think I am the only poster on 2+2 with a negative bb/100 in 25nl

Getting outplayed by someone who probably didn't realize they were outplaying me.

Having a 15/8 opponent river a 2-outer on me.

Runner runner flushes.

Going 4 bets preflop, 4 bets flop, and 4 bets turn with a guy who rivers his flush with KJs vs. my flopped set of aces.

Getting called down by jack high. And losing.

Flopping quads vs. a guy who flopped the nut boat and decides to slowplay me til the river.

JJ in NL- my only pocket pair with -bb per through 40K hands. I mean seriously, wtf.

It baffles me that after all this time variance can still screw with my head. I sit there looking at the logic, I did all I could, I played perfect, why do I feel miserable?

Theres points where Ive played perfect sessions and gotten my ass handed to me, and I went to bed just as satisfied as if I was on a total heater.

I've lost that wonderful ability and I dont know how.


Ive been reading gigabets famous post over and over again as well as some vintage variance stuff from clarkmeister and zee, but I still feel frustrated I dont get it.

Its damn hard to unlearn what living for 22 years in a results oriented society will teach you.
