I hate it. I think the time to make that move is on the turn, but if you're gonna do this on the river, you can do it with a $40-50 bet

Villain isnt folding to a push but calling 40 here. Why bluff at all? Are you that desperate to win a pot like this?

I think hero is gonna chop here most of the time, so he's gonna try to win the whole pot instead of half.

I dont like most of the plays posted on this forum. They often involve crazy re-raises of someone showing strength. Here we got a person who has checked every street. IMO not a bad play to try and get this pot. It would help if you knew if the person bets his strong hands or tries to trap. You probably could bet less than your whole stack and accomplish the same thing.
