I'm in the BB with about 650, folded to SB (400) who raises to 10, I call 6 with QJ /images/graemlins/club.gif.

Flop:(20) 10 J J r

He leads for 20, I think for a second and make it 95. He lets his timer run down and calls.

Turn: (210) He checks, I bet 150.

No reads except he is pretty ABC and somewhat thinking.

Why raise so much on the flop?

To make it look like I don't have a J....That bet makes it look like I think he's bluffing on the flop and am playing back at him.

Not many people are going to view your raise that way, I don't think. And they still need some sort of a hand to continue with, even if they think you're bluffing.

pre-flop I may look to re-pop and try and take it down without a flop.

Sorry, turn was a total blank.

Anyway, turn I bet 150, he pushes (for like another 151), I call, he shows KK and MHIG.

Looks fine. With that bet he doesn't put you on a J. I assume you got the rest in on the river?

edit - just saw your result. NH.

BTW - They got the Mid-Stakes forum up over the weekend.

No, I love your raise on the flop. I do it alot. I'll sometimes make the same raise with a monster as I will with a drawing hand, and you definitely sold it to this fish!
