Villian seems very fishy, but it's hard to be sure being level 1. He likes to see flops, let's put it that way. Anyone bet before this? Or check/call the river rather than blocking bet?

I play the exact same way, and I fold to the raise.

I don't play anywhere near this high, but wouldn't this be a good spot to check and induce a bluff?

I'm bumping this because I want to learn the right way to play.

Not many people are bluffing there into two people on that scary board after not representing anything the whole way. So checking to induce a bluff usually won't work out and this hand is likely too good to not try and extract value. Hence the bet.

Hmmm. I'd have trouble folding this myself for only 95 more, but really, I can't imagine that you're beating anything here. I guess I fold to his raise too in theory but in real life call and smack myself.

That's what I did, and now I've seen it, it should definitely be a fold. Duh. He had the flush with 97 of spades or something crap, as expected.
