Took the GF out to a nice restaurant (link (http://www.shadowbrook-capitola.com/) ) last night, here's what I got

MIXED BABY GREENS WITH GORGONZOLA (split)
Tossed in a soy vinaigrette and served with a seasonal garnish

HICKEN BREAST “OSCAR”
Boneless, skinless breast marinated in buttermilk, breaded and pan-sautéed. Topped with Dungeness crab meat, avocado and béarnaise sauce. Served with mixed seasonal vegetables and wild rice pilaf

JACK DANIEL'S MUD PIE (split)
Coffee-crunch ice cream pie with whiskey-chocolate sauce

How'd I do?

It all looks really good on paper but obviously I can't judge if I've never been to the restaurant.

She probably wants to take you shoe shopping, and maybe then you two can go check out some cute boys that work at the Ben & Jerry's in your local mall. Shoulda gotten a steak, she thinks you're a woman.

generally speaking nice/fancy restaurants have chicken dishes for people who don't want to or shouldn't be eating there. people with plain tastes, old people, people who think everything is spicy, people who hate anything 'fancy', etc. so i'd say bad play. other meats are almost always better in that context. i'm a chicken fan, too.

The Ahi and the "Loin of Tender Spring Lamb" seem like much better choices...
