It doesn't say poker but it sure sounds like a poker room. Is this the first shooting in a poker room? I would have bet a lot of money it would be a SoCal poker room where the first gun was fired.

In a public poker room? Maybe. In a private poker room/game? Certainly not.

I believe there was some type of shootout at the Flamingo in Laughlin some years ago but not sure if it was specifically in the poker room.

A guy running from the police was shot at the Hustler casino a year or two ago. I believe it was inside the casino. I met a respected player at Commerce who said he was there when it happened, and that guy was obviously in the poker room, so that shooting may have been in the poker room as well.

Now everybody can see why there are guns on the covers of the 2+2 books.

i think it was the high stakes gaming area, not the poker room since harrahs doesnt have its own poker room, its across the street at harveys and it doesnt resemble anything that can remotely be considered "high stakes"

It is def not the first poker shooting. Ever here of the wild wild west? 5 card draw, any suspicion of cheating was a bullet in the head and even bad eddict could get you killed.
