I use Yahoo for informal, quick and dirty TA and StockCharts.com for more detailed and customizable information. MSN also has an interesting filter (still can't figure it that out though) and their StockScouter rating is pretty cool.

What free/pay internet or free/pay software do you guys recommend?

What in your opinion, does this program have to offer that makes it better than the others out there?

Is it worth $29.99 a month for a new investor still learning the fundamentals of trading?

Thanks, I'll download the 30 day trial tomorrow and check it out.

The majority of the market uses technical analisys. How can you beat the market if you ARE the market??

This is the best "free" (you pay for the data feed) end of day charting software available.

If you want to scan thru a boatload of charts, based on just about any criteria you can think of, this is the program to use!

You can set up any number of watchlists, and the program already comes with a huge number of sector and indexd lists built in. Setup whatever indicators you want to see, etc.

Download the trial, or ask them to send you a CD, and play around with it. You will find TC2005 very helpful, if you take the time to understand and utilize all that it can do for you!
