View Full Version : Should the cardroom make the player say raise?

While I was playing yesterday the topic of making a player declair his raise came up. I had been thinking about that for a while, and can not come up with a reason why a cardroom would not want to make a player verbaly declair his raise. It would end string bets and help the less atentive dealers. There must be a reason while cardrooms do not have such a rule. Does anyone know the answare?

If all the card players were hollering raise, fold or call pretty soon the slot machine players would be unable to hear their machines and all hell would break loose in the casino.
