big thing with chinese poker is to treat all hands as equally important. Most new players jsut figure out what the best hand they can make is and put in the back and go from there but you should often try to configure your hand so that all of them are strong. Get Don smolen's book and you'll do fine.

Has anyone used this software and what are your thoughts about it if so? I was thinking about adding it to my x-mas wishlist.

heh on pokerroom the games run for like a quarter a point. everybody's gotta learn somewhere. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif but seroiusly everybody does bad the first time they play games. don't feel too bad about it. just play. its not like i get embarrassed when i lose my stack at $25 PLO.

I am thinking about playing Chinese poker a little bit more regularly. I highly doubt it would ever be an issue at low limits, but wouldn't it be farely easy for someone just have a computer program that yields optimal hands or are there too many unknowns?
