This is my first hand at the table.

Villan is your typical 32/24 with 45% ATSB

I would fold PF. 57o is just too poor of a hand for me to defend with.

If you fire the river it is too easy for him to push you off a hand with a raise which I think a typical unknown would try a fair amount of the time. On the flip side, a check will induce almost any hand to fire here. If/when he bets are you calling it?

Ya definately calling the river bet here~

pf I really dont feel that bad getting 3.5:1 vs. a 45% range. Am I way off?

It's not the hot/cold that's such a big deal as it is that a hand like 75o can put you in a lot of hard spots. It doesn't matter too much if your opponent is transparent, but good aggressive players will put you through hell.

theres absolutely no reason to bet this river. i like a check. if he bets i think a good case could be made for folding and thats what im leaning to. the only hand that he could have chased you down with on this board that youre ahead of is Ax without a club but half the time hes going to have a club with his Ax and sometimes he will check behind with an Ax nonflush hand. just about every hand that youre ahead of on the turn that he calls a bet with contains a club.

yeah tstone pretty much covered this one. i'd check/fold this for sure. what is he calling with on the turn that you now beat? i also see KJ no club or maybe a smaller PP with no club, but i don't think you can call the river.

Thanks, I'm kind of transitioning from the 5/10 and probably paying off too many rivers out of paranoia of all the bets with air I've seen so far.

Better to call too much and learn something than to be calling too little and learn nothing. The School of Hard Knocks is poker's #1 leading educational institute.
