Absinthe

For christmas with the relatives my cousin and I ordered two bottles of absinthe (real stuff from the czech republic)
My question is, has anyone here ever tried it? Is the hype really worth the price ~$100 a bottle?
I will post a trip report, but it won't be until after the 28th. I am just curious if anyone here has any input?

I don't know which for sure my cousin got it, but will find out and let you know. I should be/supposed to be the 100mg type.

Okay supposedly we got the 100mg stuff, we'll see. (will post a web site and bottles purchased in trip report)

As far as what I can compare to....plenty (too much)of alcohol experience, some weed (enough) but not beyond so......
