Al,

This is an excellent topic. I think that maybe "Ugly" is not the exact right word, but I definitely agree with the general idea. I especially find a lot of female musicians and other artistic types to be very sexy, but not always conventionally hot.

I will return later with pictures and examples.

I can't chime in with any celebrities. For me, I don't find celebrities attractive if they're not hot. There's no personal connection there, so all I have to go on is the eye candy.

I do have another example, though. For me, I go out dancing a lot. When I'm dancing with a girl and she moves with me in a particularly sexy manner, it's almost irrelevant what she looks like. I find good dancers very sexy.

Some of you guys spend too much time in front of your computers. You guys really have some f'd up standards.

Most of the women in this thread are easily above average. They might not be tv hot, but they're definately not average. There are some exceptions, sarah jessica parker, she's ugly ugly, not just tv ugly.

Some of the suggestions in this thread are just stupid. You should all look in the mirror and adjust your standards accordingly. Sure some of you will be good looking and able to get almost any girl you want, but the rest of you should wake up and take a wif of reality.

I'm not saying it won't happen (I'd consider it variance), but I do think people need to be a little bit more reasonable in their standards. If your minimum standard of a girl is out of your league, makes it a bit hard to procreate.

But then we're just talking about looks. There are other things which could get hot ass for average or uglier guys (power, personality etc).

She's way more hot than she is beautiful. But she surprised me by looking very hot in Pulp Fiction. Her skin looked much better, for one.

When she made her debut at 18 in The Adventures of Baron Von Munchausen, she was buck naked, Venus on the half shell. She had about the most mind-blowingly sexy body on the planet. Her face wasn't perfect, but if you didn't gasp at her beauty back then, something would have had to be seriously wrong with you.

She has aged kind of strangely. Her body is still hot, though, and she has a nice bit of intelligence in her eyes, it seems. Supposedly she is extremely smart, too, and that's always sexy to me.

She's Auschwitz skinny, almost scary, and not particularly my type, but I have to admit her eyes are absolutely amazing, and it's almost impossible not to smile when you see her smile. Amazing energy projection, almost shocking. That's the kind of thing that could happily lead me to my utter doom. And I don't even consider myself that much of a fan.

Julia Roberts has a famous smile too, but it never had the effect on me that Diaz's does.

Helen Hunt has a great body, but seems to have a fairly average face, and that gigantic forehead is just too much of a weirdness for me. She's not an attractive woman to me.
