Seldom does a fight that figures to be a great war ever live up to the expectations. This was a fabulous exception. This had classic fight written all over it.


Neither fighter has champion skills but both have unbelievable heart.

Without a doubt, one of the best fights I have ever seen. Round nine has to rank right up there with the first round of Hagler/Hearns.

It was on HBO. It will probably be repeated often this week on there multiple channels. I would check with anyone you know to see if they might be able to tape it for you. If you are a fan of boxing, this is not a fight you want to miss.

I was hoping the fight would be judged a draw. Both fighters deserved to win.
