BB bets. Clear fruit plate or expensive hooker?

Don't you just love these hands?

Well I must ask what do you think of the BB as a player?

Can he be trusted to having the "goods" here? In which case that would be the flush. Or is he the type of person that would try to represent something?

You have UTG beat he has two pair mostlikely unless he was limping with JJ Utg, But KJ is also another possibility. You most certainly have the Button beat. He could have almost anything. The only one you have to worry about here is the BB. But my sinking sensation is that if you have any doubts about this player you should call because just maybe. Just maybe he has A,J and your trips are golden.

"Or is he the type of person that would try to represent something?"

Button has put as much money as possible in up to this point (post-flop) and now a card which complete a flush and a straight comes. Hard to imagine BB is representing something.

I can't imagine Vehn's hand being good. Having said that, I would probably look at all those chips in the pot and throw in six more.

And if I don't get the hooker, I'll just have to forego the fruit and be satisfied with lentil soup.

before I get flamed for it, I thought there was very little chance the button was putting in all that action on the flop on a very draw-ey board with a hand that beats two aces.

Make the crying call.

I remember a hand from a few weeks ago where the board at the turn was K J x x with a flush draw. Two guys got into a raising war with a third calling all the bets. At the river the flush got there, and the one who had called all the turn bets bet out. He was called by one guy while the other mucked what he said was a set. The bettor tabled AQ for a busted inside straight draw and the caller took it down with a set of kings.

I hope something similar happened to you, but your hand wasn't from the Commerce 9-18 game...

If the button doesn't beat 2 A's on the flop or turn, how about by the river? What about the other guys who are in the hand? I hope you got lucky and snapped off somebody's AJ or JT, but you GAVE way too much action on the flop and turn for most any game I've seen, IMO.

I can't argue with that and I don't think the turn checkraise was very good in hindsight especially since its unlikely that he bets a hand on the turn that doesn't beat two aces. I wish I can say I had the balls to lay down on the river but I called, button overcalled and flipped up Jh7h for the win. I didn't see the BB's hand but I can only presume KQ. Welp if you're gonna lose $450 in one hand might as well be with the best.

not the A you wanted to see. the BB took alot of incoming chips raining down on him and then bets....

you didnt mention how the button played on the turn. if he would jam a draw here also or slow down.

you may have him beat though...but the BB is another story. i guess you could call the initial bet if you have to, but then fold if it comes back to you for 2 bets. i may call it. but i sure wouldnt like it.

you know the BB better than us
