Are there any well-known pro poker players who smoke pot? During games and tournements? I find it helps me stay calm and focused during long tourneys. Any info or gossip here?

I think Dutch Boyd has mentioned that in his blog. I can't think of any other poker pro's i've heard that associated with. I would think it would be counterproductive to poker success.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Brett "Gank" Jungblut smokes more dope than Bob Marley ever did.

if I was in Vegas I wouldn't say a damn thing - I think it's a felony in LV -

They don't want folks coming out, smoking weed, and not gambling.

Search the archives for some of Ray Zee's posts that contain the words "drugs" and "alcohol". You will also usually find the words "rail" and "soon" in them.

That's because smoking it takes the edge off your desire to smoke it. Non-smokers don't have that desire and hence don't need it to "stay calm and focused".

People get fat from what they EAT... Smoking pot and not exercising are only minor considerations in the issue of fat addition.

I have seen many misguided mammals high while playing not notice several poker subtleties like....

the third flush card on the river
when it was their turn to act
Paired boards

Pot= less pots won

Smoking pot + playing poker = - EV.

I would advise anyone who wants to play winning poker to refrain from smoking pot until after the poker session.
