Some guy recently posted about what he remembers about growing up in the 60's. Most of us cant relate, as shown by the recent OOT demographics poll. This is a thread about what we remember about growing up in the 80's and 90's. (I assure you I did not steal this from a chain email.)
-Watching the Muppet Show
-Wondering what that fool Theo was going to do next on The Cosby Show, followed by americas favorite republican, Alex P Keaton...all on Thursday night.
-Best Sports Video Game- Tecmo Bowl...dont try to use the 49ers, theyre illegal, cuz that offense is unstoppable.
-1st car...mine was a dumpy 1983 Ford Escort wagon, this damn car would break down if you sat down in it too hard.
-Fashion trends--anyone remember Skids??? How about Z. Cavarricci?? HyperColor?? B.U.M. Equipment? How about tightrolling your pants?
-Spending every autumn and winter wondering why the hell do the NE Patriots suck so bad...
-Christmas list as a kid--He-Man, GI Joe, Transformers, and that stupid Frisbee with the built in spot in the middle so you could spin it around your finger (what was that called?)
-Not being able to get out of bed to go to school in 4th grade at 7 AM, but up running around by 6AM on Saturday morning.
-Signing up for one of those 12 CD's or tapes for $1, then just buy 6 more over 12 months at regular price scams...and forgetting to mail back in the monthly "Spotlight" CD and having to buy the MF'er...
