not without a read... but god what a bastard this guy is. let me rephrase. it's almost certainly a -EV call, but one i would make for sanity.

I seriously doubt a player with those stats would be creative enough to call the whole way just to bluff raise the river. I think it's a pretty easy fold, but not one I'm good at making. It's possible he's taking one last ditch effort at taking the pot with a busted flush draw, but you'd have to figure out what the chances are. Probably not good I bet.

I sure hope not. I wouldnt even think of folding this.

Could this guy be raising with a J that was afraid of the flush draw?

I hate hands like this. Players like that (like 65+VPIP) are so frustrating sometimes. Profitable in the long run, but frustrating.

I think I call and hate myself when like 80% of the time the guy has a hand like 106

I fold this all the time. I'd fold AJ, too. I'm ascared of river check-raises. Anyhow, the pot is ten big bets. I just don't think you win this anywhere NEAR ten percent of the time. If Villain's stats were something like 70/30/x, then I'd call as a high PFR% often suggests some crazy aggressive postflop play. And I don't really use postflop AF numbers since they're misleading about as often as they are helpful.

Edit: My comments apply to 5/10 because...well...that's what this is and that's what I play. But if the game were higher, I may be more inclined to call. I dunno, though. I'll let you know when I get there.

I can't fold this, not saying Im right but I can't fold this without a solid non-stats read.

Your getting 10-1, bnorthro said he calls and hates himself 80% of the time. If its only 80% of the time then the call is correct.

I call and make a note for future reference, even with a note I call until he's done it enough to recognize a pattern.

Posting blind: no. 2 AF isn't passive with a VPIP of 70, and I'd be much more inclined to fold if he pulled a tricky turn move than a tricky river move.
