Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx (http://www.zerodivide.cx/converter)

MP2 is a LAG. PT is showing 31.93%/21.96%/3.13/14.81% (VP$IP/PFR/Post Flop agg factor/WtSD)

The previous hand I watched MP2 raise with QTo, fire a pot sized bet at a flop of rags. Fire another pot size bet on a missed turn. Check call a 1/2 pot bet on the river to show Q high.

MP2 ($111.15)
MP3 ($94.50)
CO ($147.56)
Button ($211.90)
SB ($119.17)
BB ($100)
UTG ($98.84)
Hero ($127)
UTG+2 ($83)
MP1 ($97.50)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, Q/images/graemlins/club.gif. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
1 fold, Hero raises to $4, 2 folds, MP2 calls $4, 2 folds, Button calls $4, 2 folds.

Flop: ($13.50) 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 6/images/graemlins/club.gif, 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $12, Button folds, Hero raises to $24, MP2 calls $12.

Good flop for Q's. I'm not liking my position so I tried to turn it around a bit and set up for a check raise with an aggressor on my left. Is this a good line so far? Should I've raised more? Or is this line against the idea of playing a pair for a small pot? Should I've called?

Turn: ($61.50) A/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero bets $25, MP2 calls $25.

Okay, that's not a great turn card. I just watched him take overcards to the river. What do I do here? Should I've fired more or go weak tight and check/fold?

River: ($111.50) J/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $35, Hero calls $35.

The previous hand is really ringing in my head when he bets. I put him on a A, but I just could not get away from the Q's. I guess I was hoping for a KJ. Should've laid this down getting 4 to 1 on my money?

Final Pot: $181.50

I am not concerned with the results. I would like to know what others think of how I played the hand.

Results in white below:
Hero has Qh Qc (one pair, queens).
MP2 has Ac As (three of a kind, aces).
Outcome: MP2 wins $181.50.

Lead the flop, dont check/raise (certainly dont check-minraise).

Bet the turn properly, not 25 into a 60 pot.
And check/call the river is fine.

Essentially - against this particular flavour of moron (who can play Q-high for so much money) you are going to lose some chips with QQ here.

Yeah, lead this flop. It makes the hand easier to play and keeps the pot smaller. You only have 1 pair at this point. The river call is a must against this opponent. Too bad it didn't work out this time.

I was hoping to take the pot with the check raise. I agree the min-raise was bad, no horrible, but the raise button is so tempting.

The turn bet. How much should I've bet? Why? I felt I was beat at this point.

If you feel that you are beat on the turn then you should check/fold.

I dont want to win the pot against this guy, I want to take as much from him with a hand that figures to be WAAAAY ahead of his range of hands.

Bet pot flop, bet pot turn (fold a raise), and then probably check/call river. Sucks that you lose to AAA, but if he can play QT for lots, then he can play many hands that you beat for lots.
