me again, ok you are playing the game and you are seating in the 10th seat on the pre-flop and the 6th seat has the big blind are you in middle or early position i ask this question because the low limit books refer to this to be early position and that would make 4 early positions on the pre-flop and in turbo texas hold'em the game says that this is middle position and that makes the pre-flop 3 early position 2 early positions and the third called under the gun the books saying 4 early position 3 early positions and the 4th called under the gun

In a 10-handed game EP is the first 3 players to act after the blinds, this includes UTG, UTG+1, and UTG+2 (or in Homer notation B7, B6 and B5)

MP is the next 3 and LP is the last 2 (CO and Button)

In your example, most would consider 4 in front of the big blind MP. Although it is in general more useful to count how far you are from the button.

thank you for your info nottom and just to make clear what you are saying are you saying that most consider the example from texas hold'em to be correct that you are seating in the tenth seat and the sixth seat has the big blind so you the tenth seat are in middle position on the pre-flop?? thanks again nottom
