It could take one buyin and it could take 100 buyins without you winning a seat.

I don't know what a reasonable agreement would be. He pays 100% of the sat buyin and you get 40% of his winnings should he get a seat or something. Make sure he understands he might not even get a seat. It is probably better to buy in at step 2 than step 1.

That sounds right ok so forget the guess what is just the proper backing idea should i get a piece of him in the event and yes we understand i mean he understands chance high chance of not getting in the idea is to find a good deal for us should he pay me something for spending my time playing or just a piece of him in tourney

I doubt you will be able to make a huge amount of money for this. Perhaps if he set aside a set amount of money you can spend on buy-ins and you get to keep 10% of it if you spend it all (except your cut of course) and get to keep 50% if you get a seat earlier without spending more than 50%.

Most likely this has lower EV than playing your normal SnGs would have, unless your agreement is completely unreasonable.

I think its a bad idea. You dont get enough out of it. Tell him to learn to play poker /images/graemlins/grin.gif . Stick to your normal play.
