View Full Version : Risk: OOT Warfare on Wednesday Night

Dynasty
11-30-2005, 09:03 PM
Being in OOT makes playing all other games leave my mind for the rest of the night. So, I think I'm going to waste the whole day playing one game of Risk after another.

I'll probably multi-table Risk tonight. Who wants to play in the opening war?

PM me your e-mail and I'll send you the e-mail invitation (that's the way the website works).

War 1: Dynasty, Kurosh, Gorie, Mason Hellmuth, zokbarjazz (Jesus), Randy_Refeld (WarMaster)

Invitation e-mails have been sent out to all combatants.

War 2: Dynasty, mostsmooth, Scotch78, Caldarooni

Invitation e-mails have been sent out to all combatants.

We need a 24 man risk league- ala Poker Superstars. Everyone plays 6 matches, getting points based on place, and then advance.

Kurosh takes the early lead by capturing Australia. It seems as if that will be his base of attack, as the rest of his armies are spread out.

Wasnt TradeWars 2002 the BBS version? Were you guys hardcore about that game? I remember the good old days on a 2400 modem running trade/steal scripts in TradeWars to steal + sell Equipment at trading posts over and over and stuff or running scripts to move people from Sector 1's planet to populate my own planet. Those were the good old days. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Oh wow really? Hmmm... I dont want to pay to play. I noticed there are a bunch of servers running TW 2002 HERE (http://www.twlinks.com/servers.html) that you can telnet to.

Ahhh I see now... I didnt even get it when you revealed what the acronym stood for until you said "flirting with Violet." Thats from L.O.R.D. aka Legend of the Red Dragon. That was another fun game, but oversimplistic in my opinion. It could be pretty damn fun if the game was reset and everyone had a good amount of turns though.

Btw, you ever play that game and attack like a lvl2 character, and that character turns out to be equipped with the most powerful weapon in the game? I never figured out how they did that w/o the sysop helping them...

The game ended slightly over five hours after this pronoucement.

Gorie and zokbarjazz played extremly tough when it got three-handed. When one army got too powerful, the other two combined strength to take shots at them.

At one time, I had South America and North America with all entrances sealed with decent sized armies. Their combined attacks drove me completely out of the Americas. I ended up taking a shot at zokbarjazz's undefended Australia, captured it, and started all over from there.
