Super System "I would limp anywhere with any pocketpair"
2+2er "Fold them in early position at a tight table"

Super System "My favorite hand to raise before the flop is small suited connectors"
2+2er "TT+ KQs+ AQo+"

I play at 1/2 NL and I believe that raising with small suited connectors can actually loosen up all the weak tight rocks!

THOUGHTS?

I have not read many threads that mirror your characterization of 2+2 and I've read lots of threads.

Brunson is not talking about games with 100 BB maximum buy-ins. It becomes much more important to raise with middle pairs and suited connectors when the stacks are deep.

SuperSystem: "Above all... you don't want to gamble with a weak player. Forget about that... show him a hand. You do very fundamental things against a bad player. Obvious things. That is... no tricks... no strategic plays... nothing fancy. Play straight-forward Poker against a weak player."

I'll dust off SS when i get home but I believe when Doyle compares blind structures and talks about deep vs. shallow money the example of a deep stack game he gives is one with 100xbb stacks. There's nothing fancy about raising suited connectors and playing small PPs out of position for set value. JMO.

raising with SC's and small PP's to me is all about being aggressive...and if u hit hit...i think your looking at a nice pot...nothing wrong with raising but u jus need to be able to get away when your beat
